ASCENDER Student Highlights:
Release 9.0500 addresses issues related to prior-year leaver endorsements and graduation type codes. LEAs can now update Grad Type Codes for graduates in the prior year, and the process for extracting prior-year endorsements has been refined to ensure only completed endorsements are included. Additionally, the Staff Section Begin Date trigger has been corrected to ensure accurate record deletion when entry dates change.
- Fixed prior-year leaver endorsement deletion logic to remove invalid records.
- Enabled editing of Grad Type Code in the prior year for graduate students. (Modified the program to allow Graduation Type codes to be updated for graduates in the prior year on the Registration > Maintenance > Student Enrollment > Graduation tab.)
- Adjusted extraction process to ensure valid records for ECDS students.
- Corrected Staff Section Begin Date trigger to properly delete outdated records.
TSDS Fatal Errors Addressed: 40110-0184: Ensured one-to-one mapping between StudentAssessment and StudentSectionAssociation for ECDS submissions.
ASCENDER Business Highlights:
Release 9.0500 addresses updates to Sybase extracts to ensure data consistency and compliance with TSDS reporting. Updates to finance extracts improve reporting accuracy for TSDS submissions. Additionally, the Employee Portal 1095-C printouts for 2023 and 2024 have been corrected to match the displayed information, resolving discrepancies in printed forms.
- Fixed extraction logic for Sybase EDFI/TSDS Staff Extract.
- Updated finance extracts to properly report TSDS data.
TSDS Fatal Errors Addressed: Expected to reduce the number of programmatic causes of TSDS Fatal Errors 30090-0085, 30040-0044, and 30040-0051. While improvements have been made, we do not expect all root causes to have been fully resolved yet.
ASCENDER Admin Highlights:
Release 9.0500 includes technical improvements for system administrators, including updates to Sybase extraction processes and schema adjustments for accurate data mapping. Changes in the finance module ensure that extracts properly handle reopened accounting periods.
- Updated mapping document for TSDS Finance Reporting schema.
- Adjusted finance extract processing to align with new TSDS requirements.
- Fixed Sybase data extraction for specific ISDs.

ASCENDER is not sending all Title 1 records in the StudentTitleIPartAProgramAssociation Entity when a student transfers campuses or when they withdraw and re-enroll. Review PDM1-120-009 Disaggregation of PEIMS Student Data
SPECIAL NOTE: This does not trigger a Fall PEIMS fatal error. Data on PDM1-120-009 Disaggregation of PEIMS Student Data should be reviewed.
UPDATE: ASCENDER PROGRAMMING is working on this issue and anticipates a correction in a future software update.
