Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA)

Teacher Incentive Allotment
The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) is designed to recognize effective teachers throughout the state of Texas. TEA now has 373 districts accepted into TIA (approximately 1/3 of all LEA’s in Texas are part of TIA Cohorts A-E).
TEA had a 94% acceptance rate across the state in TIA Cohort F applications.
TEA had a 96% acceptance rate of non-rural districts across the state in TIA Cohort F applications.
TEA had a 97% acceptance rate of rural districts across the state in TIA Cohort F applications.
Region 10 had 100% acceptance rate of the LEAs who submitted TIA Cohort E applications (initial and resubmission).

Region 16 districts interested in receiving TIA funding will follow the steps below.
Complete and submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) for Cohort F.
The purpose of the Letter of Intent is to share your TIA purpose and to provide TEA with your district TIA contact person (to receive upcoming information about TEA training and webinars).

Due April 14, 2024 (Cohort A, B, C, D, E, & F application submission dates are expired)

TEA will partner with Texas Tech University to review the results of the data validation process and the system application for each submission.  Based on the data validation and system application, Texas Tech University will to determine a district’s final approval status for the Teacher Incentive Allotment. For approved districts, teacher designations are awarded and placed on certificates and TEA notifies districts of the allotment for that school year.
